Nana visits Seattle

What a Blast! Nana came to visit us for a week! Started off pickin her up in Bellingham and stopping for some lunch. Made our way back thru Seattle stopping to ride tel and admire the city. Throughout the next week, we shopped, played and just hung out & I couldn't have imagined a better week! Pedicures, shopping, charming charlies, day trips to Port Angeles to my boss, hanging out with her and Austin the only thing I would change, is taking her back to bellingham to fly home... which ironically I couldn't even do because my battery died overnight and when we woke up at the hotel the morning of her flight... well, we had to call a cab.... I think it was my subconscious trying to make her stay! Haha. All in all it was a great week one I wouldn't trade for the world! I love you Mom! And we miss you & Dad very very much!

Must needed Update!

Wow, it has been a really long time since I have updated! Sorry about that! Here is a recap of our time we've missed since I have updated! Austin is 9 almost 10. In 4th Grade. He is getting SUPER tall, I am expecting he will probably be taller than me by this time next year, which honestly, isnt hard, I'm short. Ive come to grips with it it and deal. High heels ect. ha-ha. Anyways. He is still very much into track and cross country. He reads alot, loves math in school.

He's really good at it...Which did NOT come from me! He likes playing NFL Madden on the Wii, and we have recently started playing Folf, Frisbee Golf by our house. We are living in Kent still. It amazes me how quickly he's grown up! I was looking at old pictures of him from when he was a baby and toddler and time seems to have just flown by. As for me, well, I am still working at Manson Construction, Working in a new position, a recent promotion landed me in the role of Small Works Office Manager. I love the new job. I currently am working on an amazing project, I am working down on Pier 57 where the Crab Pot & carosel in seattle is,next to the Aquarium--(i took the shot below from a little skiff)

We are completely rebuilding the West side of the Pier, driving new Pilings and building a heavy concrete foundation to hold a 175'in dia. Ferris Wheel. Appropriately named the Seattle SkyWheel.

From it you will have an amazing view of all of Seattle, the amazing waterfront, the Cascades and beyond!! The enclosed Gondals will offer dinner and drink service. It is an amazing project to land as my first project that i get to call mine!!! I have an amazing sense of pride in the work i am doing. years down the road, I hope to look back with my family and be proud of the work that it has taken to complete this project. I am currently dating an amazing man, Kyle Wagner. He is a California Native, living in Phoenix, Arizona.

We have been friends going on about 7 years, and 2.5 years ago, we decided to make a go at trying our hand in a long distance relationship. It has been hard, but well worth it. He has taught me such amazing things, and we are growing together, ultimate goal is for him to be moving up here after he graduates. He is currently attending school in Phoenix obtaining his BA in Project Management. He is incredibly brilliant, and I feel I cant praise him enough for the hard work he puts in, going to school full time, working full time and completely remodeling the home he owns in Phoenix, he has his hands full. On top of caring for our newly adopted Bull Terrier, Sammy. He looks like the Target dog. He was a rescue that is a welcome addition. Strong but with such a sweet temperament. We are hoping Kyle will be able to find a great job up here(so anyone in seattle reading this...keep him in mind!) He is a great analytical thinker, a hard worker and fully dedicated. Like I said, he's amazing...definate keeper! And as an added bonus, the Parentals Love him! How often has that happened ha-ha NEVER! So he is set to graduate late this sprint (round June)so with luck and savings, we should have him here July-ish...Which I myself can hardly wait for!!! Being in the same state with him...oh man, you know they say, when you find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want the rest of your life to start right then...well I truely know the meaning of that!

Palm trees and Sunshine

So the long awaited vacation (MUCH NEEDED) is upon us. We are having SOOOO much fun in Arizona. I will catch you up as to what we've done so far... We arrived early evening Friday. So, because Mom and Dad have the Pool what'd we do but jumped in it... Ha! December 18th, and we were swimming!!! CRAZY!! followed up by some hot tubbing and off to bed. Early to rise(not that early I AM on vacation after all) Mom and Mand go do some running of errands and leave me with the kiddos, which i love to do cause we play and play... took them all swimming and we just played in the sun. Sunday we went to church and then to the "train park" which is this fun HUGE park that has mini trains you can ride all over the park. then off to Optimus Prime Park as Corbyn calls it, (its blue and red like Optimus Prime) Monday Mandy and I left Mom with the kiddos to run some errands and had fun runnin all over Scotsdale and Mesa and Phoenix. Finished up Christmas Shopping and had a great lunch at the Sweet Tomato(LOVE IT) headed home where we worked on posters for Daniel who flies in tomorrow and a Gingerbread house with the kiddos. Watched some movies with TJ then went and dangled my feet in the pool and enjoyed the warm breeze relaxed by the pool under the stars. We went and saw the Princess and the Frog today which was SO cute! And now are playing at this bouncy place, strangely enough there is some crazy rain today!!!! i was actual rain, not the annoying "MIST" that seattle does... it was a real storm, thunder, lightening, and a downpour....
I will load some pics up in a while but i knew i needed to get some new reading up cause it has been a while. but i will load them up in a while:)

My Boy has Heart!

Well Summer has officially started, I don't know if it is the fresh smell of the Lilacs outside of our windows or the incessant sound of that ice cream truck(i swear there must be a rule that the ice cream truck MUST play a certain song... they all play the same song) Kids are going to grow up not knowing twinkle twinkle little star without associating it with ice cream. This morning on our way into work/nanny's house Austin and i were talking about his track meet that he participated in on Wednesday(they have a summer program Mike is doing that allows the kids to race as well) So every Wednesday Austin is going to be running his little legs off, so anyways this morning he was telling me about doing the different races etc and he said he no longer wanted to do the 400 because it was a full loop on the track and by half the loop his legs wanted to fall off. he said that he wanted to work his way up to it, he told me he knew he could kill it on the 100 so he was going to do that as a warm up and then work on his 200 and once that was perfect he'd try the 400 again as long as his legs hadn't fallen off yet lol. He has heart! He also wants to perfect his long jump and high jump! Makes me proud of him for not giving up. He was pretty bummed cause he got 7th in the 400 and 4th in the 200. which is GREAT but if he's not in 1st its not good enough for him... like i said, he's got heart!! He went swimming yesterday with nanny and the kiddos it was so funny he said after his loooong day and then his track meet he just needed to relax and do some pool therapy ha-ha not sure what his "pool therapy" is but he came home wiped out, he did say he "allowed" himself a little fun and went down the big kid slide a couple times:) Awww what can i say? my "baby" is getting to be a "BIG KID"
